| Virgin Pendolino 390029 'City of Stoke On Trent' has been temporarily reliveried to mark the Manchester International Festival. It has been vinyl wrapped with Monkey: Journey to the West images - each carriage having its own design.
The Monkey: Journey to the West opera opened the Festival on the day these photos were taken (28 June). Blur lead singer Damon Albarn and Chen Shi-Zheng are behind the Monkey 'circus-opera', based on the Chinese Monkey legend. Jamie Hewlett (the artist behind Gorillaz and Tank Girl), worked with graffiti artist Chu on the artwork for this project. |
